AMPS....AMPS... and more AMPS Hey all... Im new to the forum...Nice to be a part of the crew. I am awaiting my 1st GV (YAAAH)... hopefully in the next few weeks here. Annnnnnyway..... I was doing my research on amps.... I play a Parker Mojo and have a Fender Hot Rod Deville 2x12 (tube) amp. I was really just wondering what people have been playing an electric GV thru. Has anyone played thru a ORANGE?? Do you think the Fender I have will be a nice paring with a Electric GV? Please your thoughts ya'll.....

Re: AMPS....AMPS... and more AMPS Hey!
It's great to hear that you are joining our GV community...I have been playing my Guitar Viol through a Fender Hot Rod Deville 2x12 for years now and love the sound. The great thing about the GV is that it has the treble and bass knobs. It makes it easier to dial the right sound in. I would recommend that you lower some of the treble on both the amp and GV. Fenders tend to be treble friendly and a overly trebly bowed sound is not pleasing to the ear at all. Just try different settings. I sometimes play my GV through a Yamaha T50 Soldano designed head. I get great results from both. My favorite sound, though, would have to be the one I get through a Latvala 30 watt hand built amp. Point to point wiring is great!! Jonathan, I know, is in love with these amps as well. They are awesome. Good Luck, Oscar |
