2GV @ Cafe Cordiale You Tube exerpts
Hi everybody,

When I am not carving wood into GuitarViols, I play them a bit with a few friends. Our group is called 2GV (2 GuitarViols) although lately it it "2 GuitarViols, 1 Flamenco and a box (cajon).

Here are a couple short exerpts from last night 1-30-2008 at Cafe Cordiale in sherman oaks.

Here is a review of our set at Cordiale....

After well deserved applause, I took some time to chat with the creator of a groovy instrument called the "Guitar Viol", a guitar/violin with the oomph of a thousand ships (and a sound worthy of 'em). Created as front man of 2 Guitar Viols, Jonathan Wilson's original concept and design, the guitar viol has been featured in many epic films including the recent "300" and is also being used around the world in countries such as England and Portugal. It was a surreal moment to witness the instrument create a unique sound with pull of the bow over the strings, however an instrumental set at an acoustic lounge may be a bit of a push. The energy and tempo pulsated around the room and I felt as if I was dead center amidst a battle scene of tyranny and defeat. Music can move a person, but it also can make more of an impact when listened to in its most beneficial setting. The set closed to the most hand claps of the night, I almost expected to see the ending credits roll.

Cheers!
