Rosin
I am a newbie with the GuitarViol. How often should one apply rosin to the bow. I am afraid to apply too much but I feel like I need to apply quite often.

Re: Rosin
Mike,

Welcome!

Rosin.... if your bow seems to be losing grip, go for it. Rosin is not poison. If over done, harmless. Point? Wax on, wax off. Give the bow a few passes when you pick up the GV or as needed. You might want to wipe off rosin dust after playing.

Remember, have fun, enjoy the journey!!

Re: Rosin
Try to apply the rosin generously, thoroughly and carefully. Get rid of any eventual excess by swinging the bow energetically in the air. Be careful not to hit any furniture or walls with the bow when you do this.

Re: Rosin
Thanks guys. I have found that I need to rosin up quite frequently during playing in order to get significant grip of the strings. I have gone back to using the incredibow because is takes the rosin much better than the old violin bow I was trying to use.
